Date i will never forget....09/09/08

This is for me to remember the day when i got placed at Praxair.....my first Job...

DOOM DOOM...

After the success of Santhosh Subramaniyam(Remake!!!!!)...comes a BOMB of a movie...Dhaam Dhoom...
It joins the league of extra-ordinary movies...that is 'jayam' Ravi non remake ones..which includes DASS and DEEPAVALI.....we all know how those films were...
DD is comparable to those movies stated above...It has wasted a good cast...like for instance Jayaram...a class actor who in the end turns out to be the villain and dies a humorous death...
Coming to the Actresses....Khanghana has been 'run-OUT' by our hero...and Lakshmi Rai does a descent job...thing that i should really commend about Runouts performance is her Lip Sync with the dubbing voice...
The Film as a whole is a comedy(unintended of course)....there is a scene where out hero who's a convict escapes from the Russian police on a cycle and they are on BMW 1100R's not able to catch him....plus add to that he runs around the city without anyone noticing him at all....jumps around building...stunts obviously copied from the Bourne movie series...plus the movie could have been shorted if they had cut the running around scene which were for nearly an hour....the climax is a comedy of errors.....in 15 mins the hero find who is behind the plot to frame him{...after an agonizing 1 hour of running around} and all of a sudden he drives a car in Russia(seriously stupid!!!!!).....
Coming to the music...Harris Jayaraj churns out his standard tunes flicked from Westlife, BSB and other English bands.....The Background music again is flicked from Bourne series....
The cinematography and picturization is excellent and one of the few plus points for the movie....

Final Verdict of the Film is: Cheapest way to see Russia..no passports or VISA required....

Looooooooooong time...

This is for serious time pass...after neglecting my own blog for an year just wanted to post something.....

INDHIRALOGATHIL SEMMA "MOKKAIAPPA"

With Vadivelu playing the lead in "Indhiralogathi....." you would expect it to be a laugh riot...specially after a good run with "Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi"...where he played an exceptional lead. Unlike his stale expressions and slapstick comedy which hardly makes you laugh in regular movies....

We went for the first day night show....expecting the unexpected. One of our friends who had seen the morning show advised us not to waste our time....But no...We had to go for this movie....at least for some time pass {which incidentally is everyone's favorite hobby in NIT Trichy...}

Once the movie starts it seems to take years for the interval and ages for the film to end....Vadivelu has resorted to his usual slapstick comedy and stale expressions for most of the movie.....

Apart from 2 genuine Rib tickling comedy scene the whole film fizzes out like an open can of Cola......

You can go and watch the movie for the heroine who plays the role of Rhambhai(from mythology....).....what beauty...i guess its standard nowadays for the gentlemen to have a proper body shape...

Move over Sharukh Khan...you might sport your Six Pack Abs...but our heroine has 3 pack Flab’s....

The 2 extra fittings in the form of Menakha and Urvashi were serious extra fittings...feels like 2 Sumo wrestlers dancing...

The songs are a real let down....reminds you of the songs in Pulikesi with almost the same tune....Deva would be real proud with the work....

If i write more it would be an insult for me.....People who want to watch the movie please do get a thiruthu VCD and if you end up liking the movie I wouldn’t mind paying your Psychiatrist bills......
